Zingerman's - Ann Arbor MI
One of my favorite Christmas presents this year was a box of cheeses and breads from Zingerman's. She also bought me a slap of uncut bacon. Some of the best bacon I've ever eaten. What a treat! Check them out, they ship just about anywhere.

Hub Coffee baked goods
Since Shalon Hastings has taken over Hub Coffee here in Helena, Montana, they've started producing some amazing baked goods. Pictured above is a savory Korean BBQ meat pie. Zach, the baker, also makes some amazing muffins and other baked goods. Swing by and try out their new stuff. Shalon is also serving a Pulled Pork sandwich.

Highlander Bar & Grill - Canyon Ferry Lake - Helena, Montana
Took the family up to the Highlander Bar & Grill on Canyon Ferry Lake over the weekend. A cute little place with a Par 3 golf course and small grill. The star of the menu is the burgers, made from their own Highlander cows, and they were well worth the drive. Aimee had Duck with a lovely huckleberry sauce. I highly recommend taking a drive up to Canyon Ferry to check this place out, especially if you're a burger fan.

My cousin, Sophia, just graduation from the Air Force academy. Her aunts took her to eat at the French Laundry. I think I'd go to the Air Force academy if I got to eat here. or El Bulli. Congrats Sophia!

Some Oysters Norman from Huey's on the River in Savannah, Georgia. These were some of the finest oysters I've ever had. Lightly fried on a bed of coleslaw with remoulade.

B&D Burgers: Savannah, GA
House made buns, fresh, local beef, and one of the best all around burgers I've had. I can see why Travel & Leisure named this one of the 10 Best Burgers in America. I ordered "The Colonial," a bacon cheeseburger topped with a fried egg. If you're in Savannah, you must try B&D Burgers. Pull a seat up to the counter and let the amazing, and quite cute, staff help you. They also have a nice selection of beer.

Best. Appetizer. Ever.
Shrimp, mango, and a creme sauce in a crispy cup. They taste like the finest sushi you've ever had. My mother's friend made these, and they are incredible. I must learn how to make these.

Green Meadow Country Club Tapas Thursdays
This Thursday had a selection of Crispy Asian Salad with Fried Shrimp, Crab stuffed Mushrooms, and a Sushi Selection. Cherry crepes followed up for dessert. The Crispy Asian Salad really surprised me. The (I think) Chipotle sauce they used on the Crab stuffed Mushrooms is one of the finest chipotle sauces I've had. I believe the previous chef made that.

Green Meadow Country Club Tapas Thursdays
Last weeks tapas: Scallops on toast, sushi combo, and Chimichurri "Sliders" with mini pies for dessert. My all time favorite was the first week we went out and had deep fried catfish sandwiches. I could eat them every day, and I'm not a huge fan of fish. Top notch, Chef Steve.
