Frozen Hotel Burger

Suprisingly semi-edible. The meat tasted similar to a fast food burger, not bad, but the bun was quite chewy and gross.

Boiler Room - Bradenton, FL

I lived in New York for a couple years, so I've had my fair share of delicious cheesesteaks and make a pretty mean one at home as well, but the Boiler Room's ribeye cheesesteak is without question the best I've ever had. They start off with a hearty scoop of garlic lard, then add ribeye and your choice of onion, pepper and mushroom with either provolone, swiss or american cheese. I went with onion, pepper and american, then another scoop of garlic lard.  I ate a cheeseburger from Councils about 15 minutes before going here so I ordered the small and kind of wish I saved more room. This is a monster gut bomb, but goddamn if this isn't an amazing sandwich! (I've never been to Pat's or Gino's in Philly, but I know they don't use garlic LARD!) If you are ever in the Sarasota/Bradenton area and you love a good cheesesteak you really can't miss the Boiler Room. (Not a bad movie either...)

Councils - Bradenton, FL

Councils is a hole in the wall bar. It's more of a pool hall that serves beer, burgers, hot dogs and chili. I ordered a cheeseburge with everything (Lettuce, mayo, ketchup, mustard, pickle and onion) and it was delicious. Apparently their grill hasn't been scrubbed since the 40's. I'm not sure if that is true or not, but it did have an insanely delicious flavor. Across from the courthouse in Bradenton, Florida.

Vertori's - Sarasota, FL

I've never really liked pizza, even as a kid. Teachers used to try and bribe us with a pizza party, but that never worked on me. I especially hate cheap American pizza. Tons of cheap cheap cheese with processed pepperoni and canned maranara sauce never really quite satisfied me. When I went to Europe I discovered a thin pizza with toppings like cooked banana and that changed my view on the food. I may eat maybe one slice of pizza a year if I'm at a party drinking and there's nothing else to eat. I was sitting in my room in Sarasota, Florida, with nothing around but the airport and the only delivery place is Vertori's so I gave it a shot because they had an interesting pizza menu. I went with the Tropic BBQ pizza and it was fantastic!

We got chicken, bacon, pineapple, onion, mozzarella and cheddar cheese.

First time I ordered a small 8" and the second time I ordered and X-Large. Best pizza I've had outside of Amsterdam. (They have the best fries too.)

5 Guys Burgers and Fries a bit closer

Double bacon cheeseburger with mayo, ketchup, pickles, jalapenos, lettuce and onion. I made the mistake of order a large fry the first time I went. The one pictured is a regular and there were enough fries in the bag to fill it up at least two more times.

All Topings Free:
Mayo, relish, onions, lettuce, pickles, tomatoes, grilled onions, grilled mushrooms, ketchup, mustard, jalapeno peppers, green peppers, A-1 sauce, BBQ sauce and Hot sauce.
